Bros. and Sisters,
I am happy to report that all went well on both distribution dates. The first distribution was right before the Artic freeze on Dec. 22nd. 60 sleeping bags were given out that day.
The second distribution was today Dec. 26th.
55 sleeping bags, 10 blankets, along with some warm hats were given out. They were also treated to a hot dog lunch for 90 people. The men and women were respectful and very grateful for the generosity of St. Justin parishoners. We also had prayer with them.
The service team consisted of 22 parishioners, ranging in age from teenagers, to young adults, to parents, and grandparents. It was inspiring to see families serving together in this ministry.
Thank you all for supporting this Corporal work of mercy to feed the hungry, and help the homeless.
May God be praised...
