We, the people of St. Justin Martyr Parish, are a spirit filled community of believers, made up of all who call upon Jesus as Lord.
We are a gathering of people with a rich variety of cultural backgrounds, interests and experiences.
Our perception of God is strengthened in the Roman Catholic tradition. We hold an optimistic view of life and welcome a touch of humor.... and the unexpected.
Though we live in a fast paced, ever changing world, we seek stability in our relationships with one another and with our God. We are involved, our lives are filled with activities, but we have not found fulfillment. We ache for something more.
Our principal hunger is to gather, to nourish a strong sense of belonging. We embrace family life, reaching out to include all members of our community. We recall, where two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, there He is.

Called together in community by the Father's love, we discern our mission to be:
A) To foster community and family, welcoming newcomers as well as old friends.
B) To recognize that each one has a call to ministry. We need to nurture and challenge each other. There are no volunteers at St. Justin Martyr, only those called to serve.
C) To provide for the continued spiritual, educational and emotional development of our community. Such development is essential for our future as the people of God. We strive to offer quality liturgy and programs. Our celebration and prayer together as a community of God must be meaningful.
D) To increase the social consciousness of our community. Though we feel responsible for ourselves and for those who are close to us, we seek to embrace a stronger awareness and sense of responsibility for people throughout Houston and the world beyond.
