Father Paul Chovanec was born March 1946 in El Campo, TX.
His Dad taught at the University of Houston. His Mom, a former school teacher,
stayed at home and raised him and his bother Leo. Eventually, Paul entered
St. Mary's Seminary and was ordained a priest in 1972. After serving
parishes in Houston, Galveston, and Texas City, Fr. Paul was assigned to
St. Justin Martyr Parish in 2007. He is active in the Knights of Columbus
and in the Czech societies and the Czech Center Museum Houston.
